Enjoy the pictures below and try to stay cool in all this summer HEAT!!!

Family Day Trip

Well the past few weeks have been pretty busy for us all. Caleb has been participating in a few different programs offered through the Portage Parks Department and also started taking swimming classes. He is really enjoying swimming which is great! Last week he participated in an art camp and came home with different projects each day (see the pictures below). This week he is participating in cooking camp (I will post pictures at a later date).

One day after art camp Jim, Caleb an I decided to head south a little ways and visit Fair Oaks Dairy Farm. The boys had both been there before but this was my 1st visit. We had a wonderful time...check out some of the pictures below from our little day trip. Many of these pictures were taken by Caleb on his new camera that he got from Grandma Annette and Grandpa Brent. He loves taking pictures of anything an everything!

Happy 4th of July!

Where did June go? Oh well...time flies but we had a wonderful holiday weekend and hope that all of you who read our blog did as well.

Caleb was really looking forward to July 4th because he knew that meant we could set off the fireworks that we had! On Saturday we started our day out by going to the Portage Parade with our friends the Carver's. The parade was a lot of fun...very long and hot...but we all enjoyed the time we got to spend together.

Caleb took a little time before the parade started to draw some art work on the road. See his orange bow and arrow!

After the parade we spent the rest of the day/evening at home!! Jim had promised Caleb that he would set up our tent one night soon and he picked Saturday night to do this. We told Caleb that he and his friend could sleep out in the tent that night. We did a few fireworks & sparklers then headed to the back yard for a fire and camp out. Caleb and his friend Antonio roasted marshmallows and made smores...then head to the tent for their sleep over. They only stay out in the tent for about an hour...because all of the loud fireworks that were going off till the wee hours of the morning...but they still had a blast!

Enjoy the rest of the summer...we will have more posts to come with all the fun things we still have planned for the next few months before we head back to school and welcome our new addition to our family!

Summer Fun!

This past week we were able to take a day trip to Indiana Beach as a family. It was a wonderfully pleasant day weather wise and we had a lot of fun spending time together as a family. Jim and Caleb have been going to Indiana Beach for a very long time...for those who are not from Indiana and read the Blog Indiana Beach is about 1 hour from our house...I would say it is a lot like Kennywood back home in Pennsylvania. They have some wooden coasters, a newer steel coaster and all the old time rides and games. The boys enjoyed all the riding since baby and I were not allowed to ride almost all of the rides. But that is alright...I enjoyed seeing Jim and Caleb have fun!

Ride #2 Caleb on the Airplanes

One of Caleb's favorite rides...the Antique Cars...he rode this several times throughout the day. Oh and this was the only ride that I was allowed to ride :)
